Dryden is a village in Lapeer County, about an hour north of Detroit, MI.
The Village of Dryden was settled in 1836 and after going through many names like Amboy and Lomond, the township settled on the name Dryden in honor of the poet John Dryden. Many businesses were established in Dryden and by 1880 had more than 300 residents.
